Skills and their importance

In general terms, skills are your ability to attempt and accomplish - or not as the case may be - a given task. Logically, your success rate will be affected by your actual skill level in that task. The better you are at a skill, the more likely you will be in successfully accomplishing the task.

The skill level does not merely affect your ability to accomplish (or fail at) a task. The higher your skill level in a given category, the better you will be at a task. For example, although you will most likely do damage when attacking with an axe when your skill is at 20%, you will certainly do more damage if your axe skill is 80%. So, the bottom line is the more a skill improves, the better you will be at any task that is related to that skill.

Once logged onto the game, you can examine your skills by using the command 'score skills'. Skills maybe activated or deactivated to free up a skill slot for a while, but deactivating a skill leads to that skill deteriating over time.
